定义

条件状语从句就是在复合句中表示主句动作发生条件的状语从句。

unless 除非；如果不,
as/so long as 除非；只要

特殊引导词

only if(if的加强版，强调只满足某个条件),
providing/provided (that) 假如，除非，以……为条件,
supposing (that) 假设,
in case（美语中表条件，英语中表目的）如果，万一,

用法

if

if意为“如果”，如果假设的可能会发生就是一般情况，如果假设不可能发生就是虚拟语气。
例句：If you cheat in the exam you’ll never get away with it. 考试作弊必予追究。

unless

unless的意思是“如果不”“除非”。unless等同于if ..not ，可以相互替换。如果不确定连词是不是unless时，可以带入if..not看下语句是否通顺。
例句：Unless you go at once you will be late. 如果你不马上走，就会迟到的。

as/so long as

as [so] long as的意思是“如果”“只要”。
例句：I’ll remember that day as long as I live. 只要我活着，我就不会忘记那个日子。

in case

in case用连词引导条件状语从句时，其意为“如果”“万一”。
例句：In case I forget, please remind me about it. 万一我忘记，请提醒我一下。

on condition(that)

on condition(that)…在……条件下，如果
on condition (that)…引导的条件从句是主句事件发生的前提条件或唯一条件。
I can tell you the truth on condition that you promise to keep a secret.我可以告诉你真相，条件是你答应保密。
You can go swimming on condition (that) you don’t go too far from the river bank.你只有在不远离河岸的条件下才可以下水游泳。

supposing

supposing conj.如果，假如
supposing引导的条件从句表示一种假设条件。
Supposing it rains,shall we continue the sports meeting?倘若下雨，我们的运动会还要继续举行吗?
Supposing anything should go wrong,what would you do then?假如出了什么问题，你准备怎么对付?

provided

provided conj.假如，除非，以……为条件
provided (that) +从句表示一种假设条件。
He will sign the contract provided we offer more favorable terms.如果我们提出更优惠的条件，他就会在合同上签字。
He won’t be against us in the meeting provided that we ask for his advice in advance.如果我们提前征求一下他的意见，他就不会在会上反对我们。

时态：主将从现

当主句为将来时态或含有将来意义时，条件状语从句习惯上要用一般现在时表示将来意义，而不能直接使用将来时态。
例句：I don’t know if it will rain tomorrow. But if it rains tomorrow, I’ll stay at home.不知道明天是否会下雨，但要是下雨的话，我就呆在家里。
句中的第一个 if 引导的是宾语从句(if=是否)，从句谓语用将来时态表示将来意义;第二个if引导的是条件状语从句(if=如果)，从句谓语要用一般现在时表示将来意义。
