概念

结果状语从句是补充说明主语谓语动词发生的结果的，通常位于主句之后。通常由so,such引导。

常用引导词

结果状语从句只有两个连接词:

so...that   如此..以至于..
such...that 如此..以至于..
如此...以至于... 可以理解为，因为什么导致了什么。

so 是adv的词性，所以so后可以根据adj和adv的词。而such 是adj的词性，所以such后只能跟名词。
so + adj./

so +that

It was very cloud so that the river froze. 天气太冷了，以至于河面都结冰了

so+形容词 +that

It was so cloud that the river froze. 天气如此的冷，以至于河面都结冰了
The wind was so strong that he could hardly move forward. 风刮得如此猛烈，以致他几乎是寸步难行。

so+副词+that

The ball struck him so hard that he nearly fell into the water.球重重地打在了他身上，使他几乎落到水里去。

so+形容词+a/an+单数名词+that

It was so hot a day that they wanted to go swimming. 天那么热，他们想去游泳。
这里的so hot a day ，不是 so a hot day ，这里的so 修饰的是hot ，不是 a day，而so a hot day 才是修饰的名词。

so+many/few+可数名词复数+that

There are so many picture-story books that the boy won’t leave.有那么多连环画书，小孩都不想离开了。

so+much/little+不可数名词+that

He gave me so little time that it was impossible for me to finish the work on time.他给我的时间如此少，要我按时完成任务是不可能的。
There is so much homework that I don’t know where to begin now.

such.. that..

such 后只能接名词，可以是名词短语、不定式短语等。

such +n +that

He is such a young boy that he can’t go to shool .
