What Is It
The 9-axis motion sensor features powerful motion detection for events like tilt, shake, free fall, etc. It can also sense direction and work as a compass to detect the magnetic intensity of the Earth.
How It Works
It is composed of a 3-axis accelerometer, a gyroscope and a magnetometer, all built in one single microchip. Combined as one complex micro-electromechanical system (MEMS), these sensors are able to detect speed, direction, rotation, and to output their information as forms of acceleration (unit: mg), compass orientation (unit: °) and rotary angle (unit: °).
The 9-axis motion sensor is pre-programmed so that it can automatically detect motions like tilt, shake and free fall.
