Mapping Window UI
There are 4 main panels in the Animcraft 3D Editor:
- Outliner: inspect the bone structure and scene elements
- 3D Viewport: view and manipulate bones, models etc
- Mapping Editor: retargeting setup panel
- Attribute editor: inspect the attributes of the selected item
Information
The current scene description file format is .gltf but we’ll change it to our custom format .ac very soon in coming releases.
Mapping Bones
- The mapped standard data can be shared among any other characters and animations in Library, See Merge Animation & Character**
- You can use the template to save and load the mapping data of the same type characters, this can accelerate the mapping process. See Using Template

Instructions
- Select the bone in 3d view or outliner.
- Right-click in mapping window counterpart and click map.
- Repeat above 2 steps until mapping all bones.
Tips
- Remember to map fingers (even if you can skip this step), it brings more details when import animation.
- There is a circle icon on the top left corner of the mapping window, it turns green indicating the mapping steps done. And you can move on.
Notice
- If you need to work with the same character in both Animcraft main window and DCC software, please make sure the mapping data identity among the different platforms.
