    Chinese New Year

    Celebrating Chinese New Year is important for our family.

    The time I spend relaxing with my family at home is something I wouldn’t miss for anything.

    I get up early on New Year’s day and always dress in a new outfit of clothes.

    Then my brother and I prepare the special dumplings which are always served for dinner.

    There are so much many kinds of stuffings that I occasionally make things wrong and my younger brother laughs at me because he is more careful.

    But I always enjoy the fun I have with my family during Chinese New Year.

    In the evening we get to see the big firework displays and set off fireworks our own.

    I think the noises sound exciting and colours look pretty as they fill the sky and light up the dark winter night.

    Chinese New Year is not only a national festival but also a great time for the family to be together.

    I enjoy celebrating it with my lovely family!
