Environmental conditions
ASIAIR PLUS, similarly to ASIAIR PRO, is designed for outdoor use in normal astronomy conditions.
- Avoid using it in rain, snow, heavy fog, lightning, strong wind or extreme weather!
- The working temperature is 0 ℃ to 40 ℃.
Operational conditions
- Ensure the power supply voltage is in the range of 11V-15V with a minimum current of 2A (for ASIAIR PLUS itself).
Ensure for optimal usage of 12V hub you supply ASIAIR PLUS with 12V max: 6A, monitor that power consumption of the entire system (including connected 12V auxiliaries) does not exceed 6A (70 Watt).
In case you elect to supply more than 12V @ 6A, be aware that higher current draw generate more heat and could damage electronic, this would be your responsibility and possible loss of waranty.
Ensure the surrounding area is well ventilated during operation.
- Pay attention to connection cables of the ASIAIR PLUS and attached devices, do not become snagged or tangled.
- Pay attention to the communication and power supply cables with the mount during slewing operations.
- Do not operate under a state of under voltage. If you do so and for long time the temperature of ASIAIR PLUS box might be raised to 70℃ - In this case do not touch it immediately after power off.
NOTE: The Admin & Tester community regularly operate ASIAIR PRO and/or ASIAIR PLUS within more drastic environment (way below freezing, humidity or heat).
