AliExpress Announcement on Strengthening the Control of US Qualifications for Some Categories

Dear Seller:
In order to respond to the growth in global demand for export commodities, improve the overall product quality on AliExpress, consumer experience and meet local compliance requirements in the United States, the platform will start from April 8, 2022, targeting the following (see the table below) categories, open the US qualification submission (mainly CPC, UL certificate and the product label) on the product release page. Sellers with US qualifications are requested to upload the product’s label (including some OTC products) or/and US qualification materials (Children’s Product Certificate(CPC) or UL certificate).

II. Timeline
Due to local product compliance and trade risks, if you fail to submit physical labels and the US qualification for your products or fail the review of such submissions within the transition period (April 28, 2022), the platform will remove relevant products from US market.
Please make sure that your products meet the US compliance requirements and are placed under appropriate categories as soon as possible to ensure smooth trade with US customers.

III. Violations and penalties
The following penalties will be imposed for violations after the control is carried out:
1. If you fail to submit the US qualification for your products or fail the platform review of such submissions, the platform will remove relevant products in the US market.
2. If the uploaded qualification materials are highly inconsistent with the products, the platform will delete the products for counterfeiting and deduct 6 points/time.
3. Products listed under incorrect categories will be subject to the following penalties:
For the first violation, the product will be removed (but editable); for the second violation, it will be deleted. Accounts engaged in severe violations will be penalized by the platform as follows in accordance with the AliExpress Rules on Handling Severe Disruption of Platform Order:
Severe: 12 points/time (freezing the AliExpress account for seven days);
Critically severe: 48 points/time (closing the AliExpress account).
