Dear sellers,
    To respond to the growing global demand for export products, improve the overall product quality of AliExpress, ensure a good consumer experience, and meet the EU’s compliance requirements, from December 18, 2021, the platform will open the CE qualification submission portal on the product release page for categories in the table below (most categories were already open).

    Sellers with CE qualifications are requested to perform the following steps on the product release page as soon as possible:
    1. In the product attribute section, select “CE” for Certification.
    2. In the product qualification section, upload physical labels of products (labels must at least include product information, manufacturer name and address, importer name and address, and CE logo) and CE certification materials (Declaration of Conformity,**Declaration of Performance, or Certificate of Compliance)**.

    II. Timeline
    Due to local product compliance and trade risks, if you fail to submit physical labels and the CE qualification for your products or fail the review of such submissions within the one-month transition period (i.e. from January 18, 2022, to mid-February), the platform will block relevant products in CE-applicable countries (Products with the CE marking can circulate freely within the European Economic Area, including 27 EU member states, four countries of the European Trade Free Zone, the United Kingdom, and Turkey) gradually thereafter. The blocking, as well as the control over category misplacement, will start from the France market firstly after the transition period. Then, those measures will be implemented accordingly in other CE-applicable countries gradually according to product compliance and trade risks of the destination countries.
    Please make sure that your products meet the CE compliance requirements and are placed under appropriate categories as soon as possible to ensure smooth trade with European customers.

    The following penalties will be imposed for violations after the control is carried out:
    1. If you fail to submit the CE qualification for your products or fail the platform review of such submissions, the platform will block relevant products in the France market.
    2. If the uploaded qualification materials are highly inconsistent with the products, the platform will delete the products for counterfeiting and deduct 6 points/time.
    3. Products listed under incorrect categories will be subject to the following penalties:
    For the first violation, the product will be removed (but editable); for the second violation, it will be deleted. Accounts engaged in severe violations will be penalized by the platform as follows in accordance with the AliExpress Rules on Handling Severe Disruption of Platform Order:
    Severe: 12 points/time (freezing the AliExpress account for seven days);
    Critically severe: 48 points/time (closing the AliExpress account).
