Trim调整是针对有限制的扬声器布局而设计的，消费者在非杜比全景声的扬声器设置(立体声，5.1和7.1)和只有两个高度扬声器的杜比全景声设置(5.1.2)时会用到。Trim数据被写入母版文件中，并在将杜比全景声内容编码为Dolby Digital Plus的5.1 Core 过程中使用。这些设置可以保持默认值，也可以在母版套件（Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite，DAMS）中手动修改以获得更好的艺术表现。为了监听针对5.1.2布局的调整，你需要在Room Setup（房间设置）中创建一个5.1.2的监听布局。需要注意的是，Trim的修整会应用在完整的母版文件上，并不能依据母版内容动态调整。
How come I can’t manually adjust trim settings when my speaker layout is 7.1.4?
The trims are designed work with limited speaker layouts that consumers would hear with legacy non-Atmos setups (stereo, 5.1 and 7.1) and Atmos speaker layouts with only two elevation speakers (5.1.2). These trim values are written to the master file and used during the encoding process when creating the 5.1 Core of Dolby Digital Plus with Atmos Content. These can be left set at their default values or manually edited in the Mastering Suite for greater artistic control. To monitor edits made to 5.1.2 layouts you will need to create a 5.1.2 monitoring layout in the room setup. Note that trims are applied to the entire master and can not be dynamically adjusted scene-to-scene
