一、词汇积累

1、beggar

（英文中表示人的名词，通常是er、or结尾，很少有ar结尾的）
n.乞丐
beggars can’t be choosers.
饥不择食
a beggar can’t be bankrupt.
死猪不怕开水烫

v. 乞讨

2、food

n.作为统称词不可数，表示食物种类时可数
fruit、wine、beer、tea、cheese、art、culture……的用法也是这样
e.g. bread is a common food.

3、call

不及物动词

vi. 去……，拜访……
宾语不同，介词也不同

call at sp. 去某地

I called at the bank on my way home.

call on sb. 拜访某人

I called on my grandparents last week.

call sb. (up) 给某人打电话

I will call you（up）tonight.

call in sb. 叫某人来帮忙

your father is very sick.
you’d better call in a doctor.

call sth. off/call off sth. 取消某事

= cancel sth. 取消某事
They’ve called off their engagement.

二、课文重点：冠词

1、move

I’m moving soon. 现在进行时表将来
He has moved （from Beijing）to Shanghai.

move house 搬家

中间不能加任何的修饰词（因为搬的是屋子里的东西）

2、a、an、the

a/an 不定冠词，只能修饰可数名词单数（因为表达的意思是“一个”）
the 定冠词，可修饰任何名词（可数/不可数、单/复都可以）

特殊情况：

a usefel tool /j/
an honest man /o/
an one-eyed man /w/
a eropean country /j/

3、定冠词the常见的三种用法

（1）用于特指的人或物前

The watch is mine.

（2）用于世界上独一无二的事物前

the sun/earth/moon
the Great Wall
the European Union
打头的是元音——ðə
打头的是元音——ði：

（3）用于上文中提到过的人或者物前

4、规则禁止：

（2）名字前面一般不加冠词；

（3）国家、城市、街道之前不加冠词；

5、英文中表达事物种类的方法

(1) 不可数名词前不加冠词

Milk is very refreshing.

(2) 可数名词有三种形式：

1、名词复数（用得最多）

Horses are beautiful animals.

2、the+单数名词

the horse is a beautiful animal.

3、a/an+单数名词

a horse is a beautiful animal.

6、knock的搭配

knock at sth. 敲（门、窗等）

knock sth. off sth. 把…从…碰掉

knock off 下班

knock sth. 👈👉 off 减价/杀价

knock sb.👈👉 over 把某人撞到

knock sb. 👈👉 out 把某人打晕

7、ask （sb.) for sth.

he asked me for sth.

ask for trouble 自找麻烦

be asking for it 自作自受

you are asking for it. 你自找的

ask （sb.) to do 要求（某人）做某事

8、a glass/jar of beer

jar （扎啤那种杯子）

glass 一般指冰水

a glass of milk
a cup /mug of tea coffe 马克杯
a slice/piece of cheese
a bar of chocolate
a bar of gold
a bottle of ink
a cake of soap（一块香皂）
a piece of paper/news/advice/information/work/furniture（指家具）/baggage（指衣箱）……
piece是用来衡量不可数名词最常见的量词

9、in return for……为了报答，以答谢

I sent him a gift in return for his help, but he wanted nothing in return.
