Are you doing single patches at a time, or a large batchof them? If you’re batching, and the laser is traveling across a fairly widearea, you should gain some from the higher speed, though it depends on what the upper limit is set to in your machine. You can ask for 1000 but if the firmware limit is lower, it won’t go that fast.
If you’re running single or narrow jobs, or running one shape at a time, the overshoot on either side will get longer as you go faster and basically eats up any gains from the extra speed. You need to run wider jobs to gain time from the higher speed.
The laser will always get up to speed, then fire, then shut off, then slow down, reverse, and the cycle repeats. So there’s no difference between 1 patch or 10 at a time in terms of consistency or power output, but the ratio of time spent “at speed” vs time spent speeding up & slowing down will change.
