Bohemian Rhapsody, a long night with Freddie in the airport

I was trapped in the airplane because of “air traffic control”–I never believe any reason the airline gives, but no matter what reason it is, you can not fly, and your destination is still far far away. The airplane seemed like a silent behemoth under bright curtain of night, and we were food in its stomach. The behemoth must have had quite a delicious dinner with full of people in its cabin, it would not feel hungry in the late midnight, but I was very hungry then.

I could not get asleep with an empty stomach. I tried to read but the words refused to be understood by distracted attention. Finally I gave up and aimlessly browed in the multimedia system. The airplane was an old fashioned A330, which was designed for long distance, and rare in domestic lines. Usually I could not feel any difference between A320 and A330, but at that time I was kindly looks like to find a life-saving straw in the screen, to find something in the long boring night, something to expel the hunger and thirst.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe used to be helpful under similar situation, simple and powerful, helpful to produce high epinephrine, and created an illusion to feel like a superhero yourself.But it seemed all superhero movies there are familiar to me, and none of them worth to watch twice.

Then I met Freddie, the movie named Bohemian Rhapsody didnot evoke much interest at the first, but after read the first line of the introduction, I decided to spend the next two hours with it, “Bohemian Rhapsody is a 2018 biographical drama film about Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the British rock band Queen”. It must be a good move. Of course it must be good, even if all the director did is just concat all Queen’s MTV together. Queen itself is a legend, and if you want it to become a movie, all you need to do is show the legend itself.

The film did it, actually in my opinion, the film did more than I expected. The biggest different of the movie and the true story of Freddie is they moved the timeline of Freddie’s life, to reappear more classic impression of Freddie Mercury, the movie moved the import moments of Freddie to a more concentrated rhythm, to make the story more dramatic, although Freddie Mercury’s life is already dramatic enough, it still need some embellishment to be a story. The movie did it successful, with the most successful part is to end the story in 1985, in the live aid benefit concert, it is a bold but great end.

Another thing is there were full of details which moved me a lot, I felt so lucky that in my early years I didnot miss Queen, and more luckily the first song I heard was Bohemian Rhapsody, it was magic, felt so strange, but attracted me so much. As expected, the music is filled everywhere I in movie, and perfectly matched the story, evoked me to the most precious memories, and make me feel like to watch the Queen’s live concert—-it was so sad that when I reallized that would never really happen.
At last, the behemoth decided to fly with a mighty
roar of the engine, and it was also time to say goodbye to Freddie. My heart was filled with strange feelings, it seemed that after so many years, you finally begin to understand a long lost friend, but there is no chance to say it anymore.

When the airplane start to leave the field, there was a voice in my mind, I wanted to say “Thank you Freddie, for your accompany in the long night, Thank you Queen, thank you for your accompany since my teenage years. ”
