    Industry Oxygen is applied

    Fish Farming

    https://oxywise.com/industries/fish-farming/

Fish farming, or aquaculture is a growing industry

Increased consumer demand puts pressure on fish farmers to intensify their production. Fish production can be increased as long as sufficient oxygen, fresh water and food are provided. Regulated fish farming reduces the potential negative impact on the environment, due to oxygen depletion and ensures that fish do not suffer from an improper oxygen balance. The fish are healthier when they are raised in an oxygen rich environment.

An Oxygen Generator using PSA technology is safe, reliable and easy to operate. Bigger generators are typically used for large fish hatcheries and ponds, however Oxywise generators can be supplied from 5 – 430 m3/h, with outlet pressures from 2 to 8 barG.

Benefits of Using Oxygen Generators in the Aquaculture Industry

  • Increase in stock density by maintaining a higher level of Dissolved Oxygen
  • Preventing ice formation during winter
  • Increase in the oxygen content when compared to a typical air-fed aerating system
  • Uniform Dissolved Oxygen levels throughout
  • Feed gas can be provided to an existing Ozone generator for disinfection purposes.

Healthcare

https://oxywise.com/industries/healthcare/

Medical oxygen is a matter of life and death for many patients
Therefore a reliable source of medical oxygen in the hospital is essential.

ISO 10083:2006 specifies the requirements for the design and installation of an oxygen generator supply system, for use with a medical gas piping distribution system that complies with ISO 7396-1.
ISO 10083 applies to oxygen generator supply systems that produce oxygen-enriched air, with an oxygen concentration not less than 90%. European pharmacopoeia along with other worldwide pharmacopoeia also recognize Oxygen (93 per cent) for medicinal use.

Hospitals

Oxygen is usually distributed by a hospital pipeline system. Where there is no pipeline system, an oxygen generator can be supplemented with a high pressure oxygen compressor and filling ramp to allow the hospitals to fill their own oxygen cylinders.
Optionally any hospital can also use this filling system for their own back up or to fill small bottles for their ambulances etc.

Hyperbaric chambers

An Oxygen generator is an excellent source of oxygen for hyperbaric chambers, providing a reliable, continuous and low cost supply of oxygen to the chamber.

Glass industry

https://oxywise.com/industries/glass-industry/
Oxygen in glass industry plays very important role and is commonly used to enhance combustion.
The benefits are fuel saving due to improved furnace efficiency, increased flame temperature, reduced energy cost, reduced pollutants such as particles, NOx or CO2, improved glass quality and etc. These benefits create a platform for production increase which is the most common motivation for using O2.

Ozone

https://oxywise.com/industries/ozone/
Ozone (O3) is a three atomic molecule and is much less stable than diatomic oxygen (O2)
It is highly reactive and it has a high level of energy. Ozone cannot be stored. Therefore many ozone generating systems use costly supplies of cylinder oxygen.

If you have an existing ozone generator or you are ozone generator manufacturer it is a perfect idea to replace oxygen cylinders or dewars with oxygen generator which will bring you freedom, independency and steady flow of oxygen.

Ozone is produced either from air or oxygen. However it is much closer from O2 to O3 then from air so as the energy efficiency is better. On the top of that, higher ozone concentration can be reached only with oxygen.

Ozone is used in many different applications

  • Pool and spa treatment
  • Irrigation water treatment
  • Odour elimination from air
  • Food storage
  • Drinking water treatment
  • Industrial oxidation processes
  • Bleaching processes

Veterinary

https://oxywise.com/industries/veterinary/
Oxygen is used for stabilizing animals both during and after surgical procedures
Installations range is from small clinic to large hospitals. Typical systems are installed outside the hospital, with feed lines run into the operating rooms.

Relatively new method used by veterinarians today is hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This treatment accelerates normal post-operative healing and increases the benefits of many antibiotics by improving their tissue penetration.

PSA Oxygen Generator is a fantastic oxygen source for animal clinics, because it helps to lower the operating cost, is easy-to-maintain and supply oxygen in a quality and quantity you need and when you need it.

Water treatment

https://oxywise.com/industries/water-treatment/
Sewage treatment is a process of removing contaminants from waste water
Injecting oxygen into your treatment basin dramatically increases bacteriums survival and regeneration. Regardless of the conditions, even in hot climates or summer months when O2 levels are at their lowest, and consumption at the highest, the aerobic bacterias will be well protected.

A steady flow of oxygen from oxygen generator is ideal for injecting into your waste water basin. It will keep your operating cost down![

Knowledge Base

What is the dew point?

https://oxywise.com/tools/dew-point-tool/

The dew point is a temperature where the air at constant barometric pressure no longer holds its water vapours and some of the moisture condensate to liquid water. This dew point is also called atmospheric dew point. When the dew point temperature is equal to air temperature it means that there is 100 % relative humidity.

The dew point and PSA operation

The correct dew point temperature is important for trouble free operation of oxygen/nitrogen generator, high dew point could cause serious damage of molecular sieve. If the inlet air contains too much of water there is no possibility of molecular sieve to regenerate enough and the purity of outlet gas (oxygen, nitrogen) decreases. Longer usage of inlet air with higher dew point causes a total damage of molecular sieve and its replacement becomes neccessary.

The dew point tempretatures depending on humidity and air temperature are ilustrated in graph below:
dew.jpg

Following form allow you to calculate one of three variables

(air temperature, dew point temperature or relative humidity);
two of them must be known.

The air is a compressible gas and the dew point temperature changes with the pressure. More precisly it is not the pressure but volume that matters. When the gas is pressurized, the volume is reduced and the air has less capacity to hold moisture. We can say with the increasing pressure and reduced volume, the dew point temperature also increases.

Even in cold and dry environments is use of compressed air dryer very essential. In the following graph you can see the relation between the atmospheric dew point and pressure dew point at different working pressure.

Example
Lets suppose there is 100% humidity and 0°C ambient temperature. The ambient dew point will equal also to 0°C, but the pressure dew point at 7barA will be over 30°C!

Oxygen generators

Produce gaseous oxygen from compressed air on site and offer a cost-effective, reliable and safe alternative to traditional oxygen gas supplies such as cylinders or cryogenic liquid. Our design is made for round the clock 24/7 operation. Each generator is equipped with automatic start&stop function, enabling the generator to start and stop automatically according to the consumption.

PSA Technology

PSA Oxygen Generator consists of two columns filled with a zeolite molecular sieve. Pre-treated compressed air enters the active column and flows up through the zeolite. Oxygen and other unwanted gases are adsorbed while the nitrogen passes through. The active column then becomes fully pressurized. When this pressure is released, the column becomes inactive and completely regenerates during the depressurization. In order to secure a steady flow of oxygen each generator is built from two columns; one is active while the other is inactive. At the end of each columns cycle, they switch roles.
