CHANGES

New install

CAUSE

AIX 7.2 cannot be recognized by the CVU which is delivered by the installation file of 11.2.0.4.

This is caused by the following bug:
Bug 23186307 : ADD AIX 7.2 IN CVU_PREREQ.XML
There is no one-off patch for the bug, the fix is included in the later version of CVU.

SOLUTION

Download the latest CVU version from the following site and run the latest version of runcluvfy.sh

https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/cvu-download-homepage-099973.html

Note: The latest CVU version (April 2018) can be used with all currently supported Oracle RAC versions, including Oracle RAC 10g, Oracle RAC 11g and Oracle RAC 12c.
