Franklin, or FLy, is the native token of VRM Ecosystem. In this article, we are going to take a look at the story of FLy, the team behind the token, VRM and BO. We will look at their ambitions and achievements and take a deep dive into what is next for FLy.
Conceived out of necessity
First came VRM. Andrei Grachev and Vladimir Demin came up with the idea of a large trading company in April 2018. The idea was to create a company, where successful trading teams would have the opportunity to trade on large exchanges with special fees and conditions. This idea was brought to life and improved over time, it evolved. The company’s trading volume was $440 million just in its first year. The trading volume was only increasing. The average daily trading volume is $13,830 million in 2021.
BO: As VRM was growing, it became clear that the crypto market needed a proper dark pool service, which allows institutional players to trade using large sums of money without any effect on market price. That’s the aim and the initial idea of the BO platform. BO was created to provide institutional oriented services such as dark pool, liquidity pool solutions, market making and order flow execution.
FLy token was designed to be the utility token to serve VRM and BO. The FLy token was built as an ERC-20 token, because of Ethereum’s many features and opportunities for DEFI projects. Then the FLy token entered a new network – BSC and now there’s no limit!
The FLy token was created out of a need for a token that could serve as the backbone for financial services offered by BO. The token will serve many purposes across the ecosystem and it offers holders a full range of CeFi and DeFI services: launchpad, staking, liquidity mining, escrow service with more to come such as the NFT marketplace, margin trading, fixed income products, funding to name but a few.

Having entered the market a few years ago now, FLy has recently undergone many changes, upgrades and additions to its infrastructure in an effort to grow with the market and mature into a rich featured financial offering. The market volatility has, in a way, spurred the team on to now provide more stable and useful products. The VRM ecosystem offers professional services and solutions for b2b and b2c clients. VRM is made up of VRM Quant, VRM Research, BO and the FLy token.
Ambitious nature
The achievements of the team are widely varied and cover many aspects of finance. Each of the team members has notable achievements in academia and on the job experience.
Andrei Grachev is CEO of VRM and shareholder of BO and offers the project a wealth of experience. Andrei has served 11 years as a business development manager and 7 years trading experience. Having been involved in crypto for 5 years, he has gained an intimate understanding of the underlying protocols and mechanisms at work. Andrei also holds an MBA degree in strategic management.
Vladimir Demin, the VRM Chairman is a driven individual who has over 20 years of innovative project management expertise. Over the years he has registered a number of patents relating to IT and data management. Vladimir was voted “Person of the Year” in 2004. He also picked up “Best Marketing Director” back in 2016. Vladimir attended Moscow Institute of Engineering and Physics and acquired a diploma with honours, specializing in nuclear physics. As well as being the Chairman at VRM, Vladimir is also the Chief Consultant for Huobi Global for Eastern Europe. He is also the VP of RACIB for Trading. Needless to say, he’s a very busy man.
Shawn Chong is the VRM VP and he is another high-achiever. He has picked up both a Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. Arming himself with technical skills and knowledge, Shawn has been involved in research, machine learning and trading for over 4 years now and has certainly made his presence known. Shawn oversees business development of SEO market of BO. Shawn also now works as Huobi Consultant for Global Markets. Shawn works tirelessly to expand relations for VRM and loves what he does.
Olga Prokhorova is VRM’s Chief Education Officer and is a driving force behind several programs initiated in her role. She overseas VRM Research and steers control of trading signals, analysis, market research and develops the education solutions. Having entered financial markets back in 2011, Olga has continued to accumulate knowledge and became a force to be reckoned with in cryptocurrency trading. Olga is the author of many analytical papers for financial media. She also tutored hundreds of students all over the globe.
This core team holds together VRM and propels FLy and BO’s services to new levels with dedication and hard work. The team will continue to work tirelessly to improve the outlook for the FLy community.
What comes next?
FLy plans to extend their offerings into the future by bringing new products to market and diversifying its service portfolio. The team behind FLy is waiting around for nobody and are launching new services all the time. The next services to be launched are:
